The Voice that Remembers

Taught by Radhika Vekaria
October 30, 2026 11:00 am · 7 hours Cathedral Room
Sound, Mantra & the Intelligence Within
A Sacred Sound Workshop with Radhika Vekaria

Before there were words, there was sound. In the oldest traditions, this is where creation begins - with vibration. This is the world of Nāda Yoga, the yoga of sound: the understanding that your own voice carries an intelligence older than thought, capable of unlocking states of stillness, clarity, and remembrance that words alone cannot reach.

Join Grammy®-nominated artist Radhika Vekaria for a rare, full-day immersion into voice, mantra, and the unspoken dimensions of sacred sound. This is no ordinary workshop. It is a homecoming to the intelligence held in your voice - guided by years of classical training and a lifetime lived inside devotional sound traditions.

Across the day, you'll explore the true origin and meaning of mantra - why certain sounds have been carried, unbroken, across thousands of years, and what they awaken in the body and mind. You'll move through resonance practices designed to open and deepen your relationship with your own voice, drawing on the same call-and-response spirit familiar to anyone who has ever chanted, but taken further - into technique, into lineage, into presence. And you'll encounter the feminine current of sound itself: Saraswati, deity of voice, music, and wisdom, and the wider force of Shakti that moves beneath every tradition of sacred singing.

This is an invitation to develop a deep relationship to sounds that shaped ancient wisdom traditions, and to the sound already living in you.

What to expect:
— The origin and meaning of mantra, and why sound has long been considered sacred
— Nada Yoga and resonance practices to deepen your relationship with your own voice
— Saraswati, Shakti, and the intelligence of sound as living presences within devotional tradition
— Space for stillness, reflection, and integration throughout the day

No musical experience or background in singing or chanting is required - only a willingness to open your voice, and discover.
