The Winter Solstice Ceremony at Sedonya: A Sacred Celebration of Renewal
On December 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., beneath Sedona’s vast, sacred sky, an extraordinary gathering will mark the turning of seasons and spirit. The Sedonya Conscious Living Center invites you to honor the Winter Solstice, a timeless celebration of renewal as Father Sun begins his luminous return and Mother Earth stirs awake in her quiet rebirth.
At the heart of this ceremonial experience stands Uqualla, a revered ceremonial leader and spiritual guide, whose presence alone evokes the profound wisdom of the land. Uqualla, an enrolled member of the Havasupai Tribe—the guardians of the Grand Canyon—carries generations of sacred teachings forward. An internationally recognized Indigenous healer and ceremonial steward, he weaves ancient drumming, chanting, and dancing into a transformative ritual, guiding participants into a space where intention, gratitude, and the rhythms of nature align.
This cosmic New Year calls for drums, rattles, and noisemakers—tools to echo our shared prayers and awakenings as the solstice sun ascends. Bring your instruments, your intentions, and an open heart as we gather to honor the ancestors, reconnect with the Earth, and chart a vibrant course into the season of light.
