at 6:00 pm

Class length
90 minutes

Location
Fire Pit Area (outdoors)

The Closing Ceremony marks the sacred dissolution of the Peace Mandala, a central teaching in Tibetan Buddhism on impermanence (anicca) and non-attachment. Through prayer, chanting, and ritual, the mandala—created with great care and devotion—is gently dismantled, reminding us that all conditioned forms arise, exist, and pass away.

This act is not one of loss, but of offering. The accumulated prayers, intentions, and blessings embodied in the mandala are consciously released for the benefit of all beings, symbolizing the transformation of wisdom into compassionate action.

The sand is traditionally gathered and offered back to the natural world, carrying the aspiration that peace, clarity, and healing may extend outward—into the land, the waters, and the collective heart of humanity. The Closing Ceremony invites participants to reflect on letting go, to deepen trust in the flow of life, and to recognize that true peace is found not in permanence, but in awakened presence.
